Let me tell you about the day I attended the match between Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid. It was the UEFA Champions Cup Final. It was held in Estadio De Luz, Lisbon.
The day arrived with huge Excitement. Both teams were desperate to be the best in Europe. It was important for both the teams since, Real Madrid waited for their 10thUCL trophy for almost a decade and Atletico Madrid were desperate to win their first ever UCL trophy. The stadium was full. There was excitement all around the football world.
Both the managers were fully prepared and were trying to score the first goal. It was looking like Real Madrid will be the first one to score it, but all were to quick to judge. Atletico Madrid gained a corner at the 36th minute and guess what, they scored! Diego Godin of all people headed the ball into the net leaving Iker Casillas speechless. And then, Atletico went defensive they didn't want the second they were just frustrating Real Madrid. This went till the 90th minutes of the game. The fourth official showed 3 minutes on the clock as extra time. All the Madridistas lost the hope of their 10th UCL trophy and Atletico Madrid fans thought that this is it!
However, Atletico forgot that they were againts the best team in the world! Real Madrid got a corner at 92th minute! Modric took the ball and ran towards the corner and then Sergi Ramos scored. All the Madridistas went mad. Atletico Madrid players couldn't believe what they just saw.
After this the game went on the extra time and Atletico Madrid just lost the focus. They conceded 3 more goals in the extra time. The goal scorers being Gareth bale, Marcelo, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
